Learning and Action Networks

Learning and Action Networks (LANs) are dynamic, thematic, flexible, member-driven groups within the Age-Friendly University (AFU) Global Network that bring together scholars, practitioners, students, administrators, and community partners around shared areas of interest related to aging and higher education.

LANs serve as spaces for knowledge exchange, applied research, innovation, and collective action that align with the AFU principles and advance age-inclusivity across university systems worldwide. They are designed to spark collaboration, innovation, and impact, and transform ideas into action.

Are you new to AFU or already an active member? LANs are your space to connect with peers, spark new ideas, and take the lead in age-friendly innovation. Explore the networks already underway—or launch one that reflects your passions and your institution’s priorities.
