The Executive Council

The Executive Council of the Age-Friendly University (AFU) Global Network is the primary leadership and governance body guiding the vision, growth, and integrity of the network worldwide. Composed of representatives from the Global Secretariat, founding members, and Regional Leads, the Council stewards the Ten Principles of an Age-Friendly University, champions innovation in age-inclusive higher education, and ensures that the network remains responsive to learners, educators, staff, and communities across the life course.

The Executive Council approves all endorsement applications for Age-Friendly University status and sets the strategic direction of the Global Network.
